Jessica Rosencrantz will be the country's new EU minister.
Maria Malmer Stenergard was appointed Tuesday as Sweden’s new foreign minister, according to local media reports.
Stenergard, who is a member of Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson’s ruling conservative Moderate Party, replaces Tobias Billström who resigned on Sept. 4 to retire from politics entirely. He had been in office since 2022.
Jessica Rosencrantz, also from the Moderate Party, was named Sweden’s new European Union minister, as Kristersson presented his new government to the Swedish parliament.
Rosencrantz will replace Jessika Roswall who has been nominated as the country’s next EU commissioner.
